San Francisco topped the list of my favourite city to visit in North America. Although the city is considered "huge" in terms of amenities and attractions, it is geographically only 49 square miles, small. There are many great things to do in this city. One of my favourite place visited is The Fisherman's Wharf (Pier 39).

A community of California sea lions has taken up residence on the floats to the west of the pier and visitors line the nearby railing to watch their antics.  Just within walking distance, it is the  Wax Museum, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! and the famous crab vendors selling walk-away crab and shrimp cocktails. Bliss.

When visiting San Francisco, the best accommodations are to stay in vacation rentals San Francisco.
